A friend!!!

Here is Elly M.'s first friend that is not her cousin. This lovely girl that grew up in jonathan's hometown was home for 3 weeks while her husband was somewhere in africa... i forget where. But anyways, we got to spend some time together. The little boy's name is Simon and they were cute together. I am so glad that we got to spend time with them, they were both great.

The last three pics. are from today, i was hoping to capture the little dracula teeth, but didn't really succeed. But i also think the little clip in her hair is exceptionally cute and well, necessary.

The latest!!!

The latest at the Schmit household..... Jonathan is at work... surprise, surprise, surprise. you would think he was one of those men that were work-aholics... but he is the farthest thing from it! I am feeling pretty good, the only thing with this pregnancy is the headaches, jonathan says it is the way i sleep at night on such a pillow. I told him that maybe my mom has some more feathers so that i can fluff it up when i get to iowa, he kind of implied that maybe i just need a new pillow all together... maybe i have some sentimental attachment issues after all. My friend Sharla, that is from Iowa originally, but now lives in France is coming on Wednesday.... I am SUPER excited to have a friend here... it will be fun. i'll post a few pics. of that week after she comes. yeah for people who speak english in europe.

Elly M.'s latest is getting one more bottom tooth and one more top tooth! She just gets cuter, I am sure every mom thinks that, but it is true. She is cruising along the furniture like nobody's business. I do believe that the days of crawling are coming to a close rather rapidly....maybe more rapidly than i wanted...

the face in the pictures is the latest face we make at each other.... elly m. often whistles while she is making it, which makes her do it even more. She is so funny.

Only33 days until we leave sweden, i look around and see a lot that needs to be done, but of course, it will all wait until last minute....i mean who wants to clean when you can play games on the computer while the baby is taking a nap.

here are a few pics. of elly m.'s feet. she was playing on the vacuum cleaner this morning and i just couldn't resist those chubby little feet. i love to squeeze them and kiss them. I just think they are the cutest feet.

The new "work in progress"

Well, it isn't the same as when i got my ultrasound with elly m. where they put all the pics on a cd so that i could look at them all the time and it definitely wasn't the same experience, but i suppose when i get to america, they will want to photograph the new baby too, so maybe i will have better quality photos for everyone. but here are the makeshift photos. i photographed the photo!!!

We had jonathan's birthday party last night and it was a hit. The fam came over and ate some good food and we had a good time. Here are a few pics from the evening. Elly Märta has a hard time with the camera flash, maybe someday she will get used to it!!!! so some pics, her eyes are closed.. okay half of our pictures that you don't see, her eyes are closed.

you know when you are married to a swede when......

you get up way early in the morning to make a pancake cake with fresh cream, strawberries, blueberries and pancakes!!!! next, you take it to them in bed and wake them up singing happy birthday! also when they get this excited about a candybar with biscuits in it!!! jonathan turns 27 today and we are celebrating most of the day without him! he will come home for lunch though!!

Our recent activity.....

Well the last couple of weeks have been filled with a whole lot of standing up and a WHOLE lot of falling down. How many times do we have to fall before we get this walking thing i wonder to myself often. Often times i can even see it coming, she will be standing there and i just think inside of my head "She is going to fall soon"..... but we all have to go through it to learn how to walk. Elly Märta has also gotten two more teeth and you would like to think that the two teeth that she would have now would be the middle two on the top, oh, no no no... She is getting those two pointy ones out to the side, i think that my mom calls them eye teeth. She is missing the 4 front ones on top right now. I am having a hard time getting pictures of those, but i will keep trying, she doesn't like to show them off.

I thought that my sister emily would be happy to see that her little niece doesn't have to wear matching socks just like her. I also think emily should know that jonathan's sister mickie never feels the need to wear a pair of socks either... so emily, you are not alone in the world. Your niece is just like you!!!! But at least they match her outfit.

Oh, so silly... so so silly!!!

Here is jonathan being jonathan again. He is quite the entertainer! so much fun though. Elly M. might have a future here. Doesn't she look good in anything, including her daddy's tie????

We are on our last month here, Jonathan's birthday is coming up in a week, he will be 27 on March 2nd and i get my ultrasound of the new baby on March 5th. We might actually have a kind of exciting week this coming week. We will post pictures of our exciting lives now that the computer works. Yeah!!!!!
