More on ruthie being 1.

She started walking some time ago, but hates hates hates shoes. But on her first birthday she got two pairs of shoes. She will often fall flat on her butt and try to get them off until they come off. she is a girl that toots her own little horn and i love it.

Ruthie is 1!!!!

I just can't believe it!!! our little baby is one and we don't have another one on the way yet. Wow!!! She is so precious to us. She does everything at lightning speed and is so beyond her year already. I just have a slight feeling, we are going to be trying to keep up with her her whole life. She is rather amazing already. I am going to post a video next of her on her birthday, it clearly says it all. When you ask her if she is one... she lets you know that she is "2!!!" I didn't say "how old do you act ruthie, I said how old are you really?"!!!

We have had an extremely busy summer with a lot going on... we are buying a house, moved into the house, got internet for the first time in america today and have celebrated our girls 1st and 2nd birthdays. i have missed blogging and having the internet for everything, but be ready for a lot of pictures coming your way.

thank you so much farmor and farfar for the cutest dresses ever. aunt helen, bella is holding your hostage until birthday time i guess, but i do thank you in advance, i know they will be darling... so much fun to get presents from sweden.. we miss you guys and love you so so so so much!

The sharing of a drink can soon turn into a love/hate relationship. Elly M. has to often be enticed or talked into sharing a drink with her sister... but once she does, she often feels the need to share the drink and hold the drink and maybe shove the drink down her throat until she cries.

Went to another lake...

We were going to go to arkabutla lake a couple weeks ago.. sounds pleasant huh??? arka"butt"la... but arkabutla is flooded and we couldn't swim there... so the determined little girls teresa and i are... she found another lake a little less than an hour from here and we went on a little adventure... so fun to soak in a lake and play barefoot in the sand, not just for me, but for everyone.. little ruthie fell down backward and her whole back turned black, but recovered quickly. it was so fun, and as teresa said "it was worth it even if they screamed the whole way home!"

so happy!

She talked about it all day like she enjoyed it... does it look like she enjoyed it.. but then of course, i came home to find out she had a really high temperature and is getting those stinkin' two year molars.. gotta love teething.

I can't believe what a lack of pictures i have been taking lately, i act as though i am super busy or something hanging out with two kids under two... nope not me! so here are a few from a little lake in iowa.. all you swedes would appreciate the beach with the cold water! as you can see elly m. and her cousin elijah have a wonderful time together... and you can also tell that my mother would much rather be on land than in the sea... strange that she raised three children that behave like fish.
