Snow in Memphis...

As you can see... it snowed in Memphis...and it snowed quite a bit for Memphis. 3 inches. wow.... well when it started to snow we went outside for a few minutes....because elly m. got pretty cold pretty fast. but while we were out there.... ruthie was at the door crying. she woke up with a pretty bad cold yesterday, so i wasn't going to take her out in it, but since i haven't taken her picture in snow i decided today was the day...well prepared as you can see.. all bundled up and everything.

New friends...

As you can see by looking at her outfit that she is not from a place where it snows a whole lot... hence the flip flop shoes. but she is so very very precious.... her name is liz and she is a new found friend. her husband is mitch. he is the guy in the red coat and then their doggy Diesel. Mitch is working with jonathan now, that should be an every day adventure for the two of them. anyways... they came from california and are staying for awhile... they are fun and have already added a lot to the schmit life. maybe in the future.. they will even add a puppy. they have one big boy dog and two little girl puppies... they are so cute!!!

isn't it so cute. a little bunny playing a guitar. so fun. i guess the winter starts to get to everybody..... even someone from cold dark sweden.

our little buddy...evie!

here is the girl's little buddy evie. she is such a cute little thing and she is exactly in the middle of my two girls. it is fun now, but i know as they get older there will be many a slumber parties. Evie and Elly M. like to ride in the swing together. i am so glad those swings are made that way. it makes swinging much more entertaining. this was on our 70 degree day last week, but today as i look outside there is 3 inches of snow. crazy crazy weather in memphis.

here are some random photos from the last couple of weeks. i didn't want to download anymore pictures to our iphoto because everytime i opened it, it caused the computer to shut down, so we ordered a external hard drive from ebay and now i have no fear when opening iphoto that i will lost my precious pictures of my precious children. so i am back to normal now for the blogging world.

The next step.....

here we be...the next step of little ruthie's little life and one more thing accomplished. She is now pulling herself up. it is so crazy how fast babies learn things. she is such a strong little thing too. i feel like every time she gets dressed, every time i change a diaper... we are wrestling... and i mean literal wrestling.

Upswing!!!

The morning was pretty sad, but elly m. came around this afternoon and ate some crackers and drank a sufficient amount of juice to bring herself a step closer to her normal self. it is so scary with little ones when they are sick. i couldn't make her do anything. and when i did, it came right back up. but now i just hope little miss ruthie doesn't get it. or me or jonathan for that matter. but anyhow.. elly m. is on the upswing and i am happy about that. and i got like 11 hours of sleep last night, that really helps.

Dr. appt.

Well, they told me the same thing the e.r. told me. it is a virus. wait it out. give her teaspoonfuls of water until she can keep it down. she has lost quite a bit of weight...eek. they said that sometimes it just takes a long time to fight these things off. she did drink a little and eat a cracker on the way there and then puke it up in the dr. office. if she pukes some more bring her back tomorrow. poor little elly m. is sleeping right now....keep you updated... but it is just a virus i think she will be alright.. i am just a worried momma bear as jonathan or the e.r. nurses would say.

Elly Märta is SICK, SICK, Sick

Elly M. got sick on Saturday night... threw her guts up sat. night and sunday and monday. i took her to the e.r. on monday evening due to dehydration. They gave her an i.v. with fluids and tested her for any infections.i am having a very difficult time getting her to drink anything. i am giving her like a teaspoon at a time and she is even having a difficult time keeping that down. She has also had watery poops. i would say her system is clear, but it is wednesday and everything i got her to drink last night came back up again. i am taking her to the doctor today at 11, i am just not sure what to do with her. she does not want to drink or eat. Just wanted to let everyone know about this, especially those across the ocean in sweden. please pray for little elly m. she is so sick. i'll put an update after the dr. appt. today. they told me in the e.r. it was a virus. these viruses are frustrating.. because you just have to live through them. eeekla.. anyways.
