well we did this quite awhile ago, but i thought that she looked exceptionally cute with her hair up like that... and the cookies.. i guess you could say it was my idea.

stealing photos

I am trying to steal photos off of my sister-in-law Heidi's facebook. i hope it works. and it worked. i guess that i can just steal from her for this time. isn't elly m. getting so big. and jonathan.. isn't he precious. he tries so hard to fit into his brother and sister's band.

Here goes it...

I know that it must be very disappointing to check a blog that is usually updated AT Least once a week to find that it has been almost three weeks and no update. Shoot me!! Well we figured out that it is not our camera, but it is our computer. Which seems to me like a much more complicated issue, we aren't sure what the source of the problem is, but have spent hours trying to fix it. so anyways. all you get right now is words, which i feel is kind of boring when there is a baby across an ocean growing like a weed in a really rainy season. we miss all of you of course and our arrival there is not so far away, so i am doing a countdown, it is 60 days away. that is 8 weeks and 4 days for those of you who want it in that kind of time. Jonathan has bittersweet feelings about the move, i have feelings of great relief and Elly M. doesn't even have a clue how she feels about the biggest change that has ever happened in her whole 6 month life.

Elly m. is growing soooooooooo fast. it is crazy. We went to the ped. for a general check-up. they were a little surprised about her crawling and her 2 front teeth, i tried to explain to them that it runs in the curry family, but through language disabilities, i am not so sure they understood, because you see not only was there a language barrier for me, but the doctor came from poland and even jonathan was having a difficult time understanding. here are her measurements though: for those of you who use the metric system: 8,600 some grams, 71 cm. long, for those of you who use the American system. that is a whopping 18 lbs. 6 oz. and about 27 or so inches. Elly M. decided last week that she would pull her self up on jonathan's accordian and then scream bloody murder because she couldn't get herself down, and last night while in the bathtub she repeated "dada" to me. i am a little jealous that i spend every waking moment with the child and she says "dada", but i mean who sits around talking about me all day with her anyways. so "dada". i hope next will be mama. but we will see. she did nondiscriminately say "papa", which my dad would be proud to hear. She thinks of him after all meeting for such a short time.

Anyways..... i can't think of anything else so important that the world needs to know about it. except maybe my due date for the next baby is August 8th. It is hard for me to even comprehend another little one and loving it since we love elly m. so much, but everybody says that your love just expands. i have a feeling it is true.

We love all of you... jonathan loves comments on the posts, he checks all the time for them... he would be really glad to get on here and find some!!!!

Broken camera or something....

I am sorry that i have not posted anything in so long, i have been struggling to get our camera to connect to our computer. i am going to try a few more things, i am not sure what is wrong with the stupid thing, besides the fact that it eats batteries like CRAZy...... so i will continue to try, but it is not my fault....

our little seal...

elly m. has found a way to get to where she wants to go in each room she is in. She acts as though her legs only work part time, but she sure does make a good seal. it will be fun to see the development from here. She is so much fun.

WE Love ELIJAH!!!!

We decided to make a video for elly m's cousin elijah. He made a video for us before and it is only fair to return the favor. We love elijah.... he is very very precious to us.

I realize after listening to this, just how ridiculous i sound...i being tristan of course. there will be no argument for #2, they will be an american, born and raised in america.... yeah.

fun things to do when you are bored....

carry your child around in a clothes basket or put your finger over the flash on the camera to get a really cool effect. so silly. The first picture displays her being a seal, she does that a lot... and the last pictures show just how big she is getting... she is starting to hold her own bottle. changes everything.

Reverse that order, the pictures showed up the opposite way.

I only put that she has been teething, but i forgot to mention that elly m. got her two bottom teeth christmas weekend. I tried to get photos of the two little pearls, but maybe didn't do the best job. She doesn't like for you to mess with them that much. but you can kind of see them in a few.
