SAND

hey there tania... I bought sand at lowes and it is in the weirdest place there. it is in the lumber area and it is called play sand. my mom also said that you can buy colored sand at wal-mart. she bought the grandkids blue sand. It was only $3 a bag. well worth it for sure.

ruthie toothie.

this little one ruthie is definitely planning her own little course of development. she is working on tooth number 9. number 9 because she has been growing an extra tooth behind her top front teeth. i am not sure what or if there is something i can do now, but i will ask the dr. next time we go. so hopefully after this number 9 we will take a little break for awhile.

just cute ones.

here they are just being cute. as you can see ruthie is standing up all the time now trying to take steps. i really don't think it is going to take much longer before this little one walks. she definitely watches her big sister all the time. it is amazing how much she watches her. i mean she is very enjoyable to watch!!!

sandbox... sandbox.. sandbox.

our new favorite activity these days is playing in the sandbox. it is so lovely to just walk outside and have endless entertainment. i love it. as do the girls. and the picture of the two of them where neither of them are looking at the camera is one of my favorites. i just think they are so cute. definitely enjoyable.

yesterday's little friend.

elly m. needed a little friend to push or pull around the yard in the wagon. her sister almost weighs the same as her, so pushing her is difficult, but don't worry it is tried often. elly m. has also really wanted to hold ruthie a lot lately. i wonder if she realizes ruthie might out weigh her at this point. probably not.

bath buddies...

it is always fun to have bath pictures with our little buddies, so that when we are older.. .we can say. we used to bathe together. that is how long we have been friends. evie is such a great friend. i am crossing my fingers and kind of hoping teresa has another girl in october. on my birthday for that matter. we find out in about a month!! yeah.

Here is uncle david with elly m. and his sister-in-law lorie with ruthie. uncle david and aunt gittan "mimi" have been incredible fill-in grandparents to our children. they treat them so great and elly m. is in love with them.

easter dresses

here they both are in matching dresses, hard to get good shots of the two of them. my goodness, wonder what it is like with more kids. i guess as they get older it might get easier to direct them,... but maybe not.

easter get up

elly m. in her easter get up. we went to uncle david's brother's house. figure that one out. we had a great time doing a little egg hunt for elly m. she enjoyed it. she fell on the way in on the rocks and lately has been making a really big deal about that. band aid... band aid... i hear that quite often lately.

as you cringe...

I can't help it that ruthie loves to chew on elly m.'s shoes. any pair of her shoes, ruthie wants to chew on. i try and try to keep them away from her, but i always find her chewing on them anyways. sneaky little thing! but isn't she just the cutest. it was fun to put her in a dress, i don't do it very often because she is crawling and it is super hard to make her happy as she trips over her dress often.

egg hunt on the farm

we went to a farm a little farther south and really enjoyed ourselves. there was an easter egg hunt and a petting zoo and a bunny and pony rides. we had fun and the girls had fun. it was a little windy that day, but very enjoyable. the girls got 12 eggs... no more, no less!

Here is elly m. on her second pony ride.. it was much cheaper this time and the horses were much bigger and nicer looking. i even let elly m. go around by herself once... maybe because the horses were walking around so fast and they refused to let me put ruthie on the back of elly m.'s. the kids working were worried about getting fired. oh my!!! evie also loved riding the horsies......
