all day Christmas

Here are the girls and their daddy opening presents on Christmas. it was much more fun this year with little elly m. she wasn't crying at all and either was ruthie. maybe the difference was the fact that we opened presents in the morning when they woke up instead of way after her bedtime like we did last year.

and by the way... we spent the ENTIRE day in our pajama's. we went to the white's in the morning for breakfast... it waS A fun relaxing time with the fam.

sisters and cousins.

here are olivia and elly m. sitting together ignoring everyone around them. most obvious to them that they are reading some pretty important masterial... prevention and readers' digest. hilarious that children can ignore your pleas to look at the camera without thinking a thing of it.

bath time

here is a typical night at our house around oh say 7:30 or 8 o'clock. bath time. elly m. loves it and so does the cat. the cat is such a risk taker. i mean... if i was the ca, i wouldn't get near elly m. while she was taking a bath, but i guess the need for fresh water because the cat can't drink anything else is so great, she is wiling to pay the price as elly m. pulls her into the bath tub. i should post a photo of the different sizes ruthie has been. amazing to me that she fills that pool so well and elly m. loves ruthie's bath.

Zoo lights

We went to zoo lights and i took horrible pictures. i guess i carried ruthie most of the evening, but i should of took some pictures of elly m. crying while we showed her all of the animals. i guess she only likes the animals when they are on baby einstein... real life is a bit much... and the fake panda bear was very overwhelming... but we do thank taylor for the free tickets. it was still fun to go. ruthie and aaron riding together in style in the last picture. they are so cute.

I left to pick mickie up....

and this is what i came home to. I was only mad because i wasn't the one to think of it. sometimes it feels like a little competition between jonathan and i of who can have the most fun with our kids.... so he won last night. elly m. had the time of her life playing in that sink. she was so excited about it.... and so wet.

i am so glad that when i leave the house i know that they will be taken care of so well. and that the life adventures don't stop.....i love that you are so much fun jonathan.

ruthies favorite activity...

Ruthie loves loves the jumper thing that i put in the doorway. she just loves it. i am glad too because other wise i am not so sure that i would get dinner done. between the two of them, i don't have free hands very often. and i have to stress one more time, just how much ruthie looks like uncle peter right now. i am amazed about how much she looks like him. she has so many janson features. i guess my shout out to you guys didn't work. i miss you two a lot. it would be fun to catch up some day soon. i wish i could call you at night our time... that is my only free time it feels like. note to uncle peter... i read a book i think that you would enjoy.. you too helen, but i know peter and his books...... stolen innocence.. it is about a young girl that left the latter day saints polygamist unit of a church.. so interesting that cult is... anyways... i guess i should get on jonathan's email and write you there.

Thank you FarFar and FarMor

or as elly m. would say it.... shashoe and hueshoe... hilarious... she tries to say everything lately... mickie is mina.. and bella is bubba. it is so fun to hear her say these things, she doesn't even mind when you laugh at her. she also just refers to ruthie as sister. i will say "elly m. can you say ruthie?" her response..."sister". so cute.

anyways... thank you rocky and elisabeth for the presents. elly m. got a hold of two of them and opened them already. she also got a hold of the box of chocolate and opened it. it is so fun to have a little swedish doll and a little swedish purse. and as you can see... she loved every single bit of it. you did a great job getting stuff for her. she is such a little girl. and she loves the headband. thank you for the presents. we are eager to open them on Christmas.

What are you looking at???

can you see the frustration with me???

Some great faces....

Everyday happenings can make a 16 month old's moods change. it is amazing just what a sippy cup full of gatorade can do for her. her moods often resemble that of a teenager... it feels like. she goes from pretty elated to pretty pissed pretty quickly these days. so i guess the terrible 2's started a little early for us. She is still hilarious and so much fun. in these pictures, she has taken the glow worm from ruthie and decided that the glow worm wants to dance to the backyardigan's toy that she has. she loves to dance with anything in sight. it is so fun. and ruthie just watches with eager expectation that someday she will get to be in on it too.

some more faces i get to see

4 months old

It is so amazing to me how fast babies change in their first year of life. i really can't imagine what next year is going to be like with 2 walking toddlers... hmm... anywho... ruthie went for her four month check-up... the girl weighs in over the 100th percentile... she is a whopping 18 lbs. 2 oz. crazy little food lover. she is 24 inches long. and so precious to us. she has almost 2 teeth and likes to scoot across the floor on her belly. i feel like she is trying to keep up with her older sister already. all i can say is.......eek. two very active children.

the next two pictures are of jonathan and the cat. the cat loves jonathan more than anyone else in the house, but sometimes comes to me for food and water. but i think that the cat is the one that complains about it being 63 degrees in our house the most.

shout out to uncle peter and aunt helen...

well, little ruthie isn't so little anymore. she is now almost four months old, but she doesn't behave like a four month old. she already has one tooth and has now for over two weeks and is working on number two. she scoots across the floor and wants to go places already. crazy. i thought for sure this was going to be my lump of potatoes baby, but no, i am going to be busier than ever in about 2 months when she mobile everywhere. it is so fun to watch her grow and change.

and if you ask me who she looks like, i would have to say uncle peter on jonathan's side. there is just something about her eyes that remind me of uncle peter. speaking of uncle peter and aunt helen... we miss you guys and will miss you especially at Ghristmas. you could always leave comments on the page, but i can see when you look because of my feedjit... who else is from jonkoping's lan????
